Ministries

There are various ways parishioners can become involved in the life of their parish community. Liturgical ministries are not the only way individuals can dedicate their time and talents to the celebration of Masses and special services. Parishioners have the option of selecting from liturgical and musical ministries.

Please contact us for more information concerning the ministries of the partner parishes of St. Pius X and Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Adult Parish ChoirThe adult choir consists of high school youth and adults. This choir rehearses at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evenings from early September through the feast of Pentecost. The choir sings at Sunday Mass, alternating between 9:15 a.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X  Parish, as well as the Christmas Midnight Mass, Easter Vigil and other important feast days and celebrations throughout the year.
Ministry of Consolation ChoirThis choir ministers through music to our sisters and brothers who have lost loved ones. The choir sings at funeral Masses and wake services. This important ministry is open to all adults.
Cantor ProgramThe role of the cantor is to lead the assembly in prayerful song during the liturgy. They are also called to share their gift of music by proclaiming the word of God as psalmist, and sometimes teaching the assembly new hymns and acclamations. This ministry is open to those 16 years of age through adulthood. Cantor rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. bi-weekly.
InstrumentalistsInstrumentalists (ninth grade to adult) who would like to play for special feast days and liturgies, please call or e-mail our Sheryl Nagy, music director. We are always looking for good instrumentalists.
